Hi! My name is Kylie (or Ky) and I am a concert photographer based in Tampa, Florida. I got my start in photography during my sophomore year of high school, in yearbook. During my senior year I developed my passion for music photography. Quickly advancing from doing free gigs for local bands, I was able to photograph my first festival and be accepted for multiple photo passes within a year of starting. I have had the privilege to photograph artists like Fitz and the Tantrums, Flipturn, St Paul and the Broken Bones, and Wallows for Distorted Magazine. I enjoy working with local bands and photographing larger concerts, in the future I hope to work with growing local bands and having the possibility of touring. Soon I will be starting college to obtain a degree that would support my choice in being a concert photographer in the future. I plan on working closely with local bands throughout my years in college, getting as much experience as possible.
As a photographer, I aim to capture true emotions during performances, whether it's from the crowd, or the artist. I enjoy experimenting with different angles, and getting close up detail shots of the artists and their equipment. Within a gallery, I tend to include high contrast black and white photos, along with colorful action shots.
